Thorne’s Enhanced Bone Support is a comprehensive supplement for bone support. It contains dicalcium malate and dimagnesium malate (two molecules of calcium or magnesium, each bound to one molecule of malic acid) for improved absorption and increased levels of these important trace minerals.
Adequate magnesium intake helps strengthen bones by optimizing parathyroid hormone secretion and ensuring active transport of calcium into the bones. Enhanced Bone Support contains vitamin D3, which promotes calcium absorption; boron, which supports the metabolism of vitamin D and estrogen in the body; and B vitamins for healthy methylation, which regulates homocysteine levels—a known risk factor for low bone density.
Studies show that elevated blood homocysteine levels can impair bone integrity. Thus, Enhanced Bone Support contains methylcobalamin (the active form of vitamin B12), L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate (the active form of folic acid), and pyridoxal-5'-phosphate (the active form of vitamin B6), as they help maintain normal homocysteine levels. Enhanced Bone Support does not contain vitamin K, so this bone health supplement can be used by individuals taking blood-thinning medications.
Suggested use
Take two (2) capsules twice daily or as recommended by a physician.
