Chitosan is a polysaccharide obtained from the shells of shellfish that can bind to fat and cholesterol in the digestive tract, helping to maintain cholesterol levels within the healthy range. NOW® Chitosan contains LipoSan ULTRA®, a unique high-density form of chitosan that, according to laboratory studies, binds five times more fat than ordinary chitosan. A clinical study has demonstrated that LipoSan ULTRA® may help support healthy body weight. Chromium, a mineral necessary for normal glucose metabolism, has been included in this formula.

Suggested use
Take 3 capsules directly before 2 main meals during the day. Do not take more than 6 capsules per day. Take the product in combination with a sensible diet and exercise program. Take at least 4 hours before or 4 hours after taking fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) or medications.
Other ingredients
Hypromellose (cellulose capsule), stearic acid (vegetable source), and silicon dioxide.
