Chitosan is a polysaccharide derived from the shells of crustaceans that can bind to fat and cholesterol in the digestive tract, helping to support cholesterol levels within the healthy range. NOW® Chitosan contains LipoSan Ultra®, a unique high-density form of chitosan that binds up to five times more fat than conventional chitosan, as has been demonstrated in laboratory tests. Results of a clinical study have shown that LipoSan Ultra® may help support healthy body weight. Chromium, a mineral necessary for normal glucose metabolism, has been included in this formula.

Suggested use
Take 3 capsules immediately before 2 main meals of the day. Do not exceed 6 capsules per day. Take this product in combination with a sensible diet and exercise program. Take at least 4 hours before or after taking fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) or medications.

Other ingredients
Hypromellose (cellulose capsule), stearic acid (vegetable source) and silicon dioxide.

Contains shellfish (shrimp).
