Creatine is a compound that occurs naturally in the body, primarily in skeletal muscles. The function of creatine is to serve as a precursor of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the form of chemical energy used by all cells. The body’s creatine stores create a reserve of available ATP for energy, which is necessary for rapid increases in power and strength. Studies have shown that creatine supplements may help preserve existing muscle tissue, support the growth and development of muscle mass, and promote optimal performance during short periods of intense exercise. NOW Creatine Monohydrate contains no additives or preservatives.

Recommended use
Mix 1 1/2 teaspoons with fruit juice or other sweetened liquid 3–4 times daily before and after exercise for the first 7 days. Then, for maintenance, take 1–3 times daily. Allow 3–4 hours between doses. For continuous use longer than 28 days, use one serving daily. Drink enough fluids while using this product.
