Folic acid must first be converted into its active form through a series of biochemical steps before it can be used by the body. Metafolin® (L-methylfolate) does not need conversion because it is bioidentical to the bioactive form. In other words, it is “body ready.” This may be beneficial for people whose bodies have difficulty converting folic acid into its active form. The active folate in this formula supports heart health. It also supports nervous system health and the formation of healthy red blood cells.
As a dietary supplement for adults, take one (1) tablet one to two times daily, preferably with a meal or as directed by a physician.
