Inositol from Jarrow Formulas® is easily absorbed and promotes the production of essential active inositides. Various forms of inositol (phosphatidylinositol and inositides such as IP3) are active at the intercellular level (for example, in the transmission of nerve impulses). The affected tissues include the brain, liver, and muscles. Inositol (also known as myo-inositol) is an indirect source of glucuronic acid, which is necessary for liver detoxification.
