The herbal ingredients in this product increase the production and flow of bile, which in turn helps optimize the metabolism and elimination from the body of substances formed during the breakdown of toxins by the liver. The “Liver Cleanse” supplement will be especially useful as part of a comprehensive body detoxification program.
It should be taken into account that before starting a detox program it is very important to ensure the optimal functioning of the digestive tract. In addition, the program should include fiber-containing products (for example, FiberMend by Thorne) to support the elimination of toxins from the body by binding toxins that enter the intestines from the liver and preventing their reabsorption.
The liver neutralizes toxins in a process that consists of 2 phases. In the first phase, fat-soluble substances, including toxins, are converted with the help of the cytochrome p450 enzyme into intermediate substances which, although already partially water-soluble, are not yet ready to be eliminated from the body. Then in the second phase, the intermediate substances formed in the first phase bind to glutathione, sulfur, or methyl groups and become sufficiently water-soluble to be excreted from the liver into the intestines.
The recommended initial dose of the “Liver Cleanse” product is 1 capsule (to be taken in the evening). If additional cleansing is needed, the dose can be gradually increased.
