Solgar® Prenatal Nutrients — is a patented formula that provides 100% of the daily value of most essential vitamins and minerals for pregnant and nursing women. Nutritional needs change significantly during this time, and diet alone may not always be enough to meet these required levels. This supplement provides a balanced combination of nutrients such as calcium, iron, folic acid and antioxidants, as well as beta-carotene, vitamins C and E. Pregnant women have an increased need for iron. An adequate amount of folic acid in a healthy diet may reduce the risk of a woman giving birth to a baby with a defect of the brain or spinal cord.
