The SAMe supplement has several mechanisms of action that are used throughout the body.

Brain and mood

SAMe enhances methylation of brain cells and promotes vigorous DNA enzymatic activity. This enzymatic activity is necessary for the healthy conversion of neurotransmitters such as norepinephrine, dopamine, and serotonin, and may be responsible for the mood-enhancing properties of SAMe. SAMe also helps maintain acetylcholine levels necessary for cognitive function.

Joints

SAMe may support normal joint mobility and function without side effects.

Recommended use
Take one (1) tablet 2–6 times per day in divided doses, preferably on an empty stomach, or as recommended by a healthcare practitioner. Take with the cofactor vitamins B12, B6, and folic acid.
