The SAMe supplement has several mechanisms of action that are used throughout the body.

Brain and mood

SAMe enhances methylation of brain cells and promotes vigorous DNA enzymatic activity. This enzymatic activity is necessary for the healthy conversion of neurotransmitters such as norepinephrine, dopamine, and serotonin, and may be responsible for the mood-enhancing properties of SAMe. SAMe also helps maintain acetylcholine levels, which are necessary for cognitive function.

Joints

SAMe may support normal mobility and joint function without side effects.

Recommended use
For joint support: Take one (1) tablet three times a day in divided doses, preferably on an empty stomach or as recommended by a physician.

For mood support: Take one (1) tablet four times a day in divided doses, preferably on an empty stomach or as recommended by a physician.

Take together with accompanying vitamins B12, B6, and folic acid.
